Bloomingdale updates its Stormwater Ordinance to reflect adoption of the Coastal Stormwater Supplement
In February 2012, the City of Bloomingdale updated its stormwater ordinance to reflect adoption of the Coastal Stormwater Supplement (CSS) to the Georgia Stormwater Management Manual (GSMM). The Coastal Stormwater Supplement adds to the multitude of information found in the Georgia Stormwater Management Manual by providing specific guidance for Georgia’s coastal communities. The CSS provides Georgia’s coastal communities with comprehensive guidance on an integrated, green infrastructure-based approach to natural resource protection, stormwater management and site design that can be used to advance protection of coastal Georgia’s unique and vital natural resources as the region grows and develops.
Please go to http://www.gaepd.org/Documents/CoastalStormwaterSupplement.html
or http://www.mpcnaturalresources.org/natural-resources/storm-water/
or http://georgiastormwater.com/ to access a copy of the CSS. You can also access a user-friendly excel worksheet to use as a tool to ensure a project’s consistency with the Coastal Stormwater Supplement.

The Bloomingdale Public Works Department maintains our City streets and ditches.
If there is a problem with a road/street or ditches draining, please contact City Hall so a work order can be generated for our Public Work Employees so the issue can be resolved.

The City offers Dry Trash Service/Limb Grinding throughout the City which is picked up the 1st and 3rd week of the month. The Public Works Supervisor will evaluate the amount of debris that is left out by the road to determine if there will be a fee for removal. Please call our Public Works directly if you would like to schedule a debris pick up. (912)748-0268
